Give me a reason, I say, to fly out of Peoria’s airport. I am in the midst of trying to book a flight for next month and you know something, Bloomington’s cheaper all the way around. Even on Delta which they both share, Bloomington’s cheaper. The same flight times, they are cheaper. And they also have free parking and a better terminal. Explain to me why I should fly out of Peoria when I have to pay, on the average, 30 to 40 more each ticket. I guess Caterpillar really don’t care too much about air fares which must be the only thing keeping the airport doing so well. I am trying, PIA. I want to fly here. You are making it difficult. Why does the airport here cost so much more? Probably the same reason that gas costs more here than in Springfield or Bloomington.

MANY Cat people drive to and from Chicago. They bypass PIA completely.

Then explain to me why it costs more here than in Bloomington. I get that Air Tran is in Bloomington and Delta wants to compete but we are 45 minutes (33 miles) from Bloomington. I booked my tickets for there, not here, as it’s far cheaper. I tried, PIA.
